Hey friends! Glad you're here:) My name is Makenzie Adams & I am 22 years old. I am the oldest of five siblings and was raised by two wonderful, God-fearing parents who instilled in me a love for God and His Word from a young age. I have been walking with Jesus for 15 years and He is the best Thing to ever happen to me.

I am originally from a small town in Indiana, but my family moved to Southern California when I was in middle school so my dad could follow God's calling to serve & pastor a Church in Anaheim, CA. It was at this point in my spiritual journey where God really got ahold of my heart. I realized that a relationship with God was more than just knowing about Him- it is about truly knowing Him. I started to understand what it means to have a personal and intimate relationship with a loving Father. I enjoyed the opportunity to do ministry alongside my family in a significant time of transition in my life. I believe it was then that God started developing in me a passion to commit my life to full-time ministry- the idea that all I ever want to do with my life is to give it away- for the cause of Christ & the sake of His Kingdom.

Ever since then, I have been on a journey to know Him deeper & pursue ministry opportunities to share His heart with others. I came back to my mid-west roots for college & graduated with my bachelor's degree in counseling/educational ministries from Grace College in May 2021. I recently started pursuing my Master's degree in local Church Ministry from Grace Seminary and have continued my "running dream," running collegiately for my Grace xc/track team. The Lord kindly provided a ministry role right after college where I have had the privilege of serving as the children's ministry director of a sweet, local congregation in Ligonier, IN. This position has been a blessing- it has stretched & grown me in deep ways and has been an opportunity to understand more of how God has created & shaped me. Through this time, I have come to realize that I have a heart for missions & have tried to instill a love for God's people & the globe into the young children I have been serving in children's ministry.

I recognize that the Great Commission is all-consuming- Jesus calls us to forsake comfort and be willing to go anywhere to follow Him and share His gospel. After a year of serving in this little Church, I have realized that my heart is still captured by a desire to GO- truly, into all the world and preach the Gospel. The World Race represents everything I want to be about- when I discovered it, the Lord clearly confirmed it as the next step in my life. I am beyond excited to follow His call and take on this new adventure- this truly is the Great Adventure- to make Him known across the world. Matthew 28:16-20.
